DO WANT

For prom. Yes. Too bad the price is a bit steeper than mumsy would like.

Japanese street style

So, I love street style, and Japanese street style in particular. It's so inspiring the way in which these young people put together things that you never would've thought put-togetherable and all the while their ensembles look effortless and amazing. Here are some of my favourite outfits I've found online.

American flag skirt. Shirt that says "MEDIA SEDATION" with a picture of Britney's shaved head on it. Need I say more?

Delicate and gorgeous. I want that jacket.

I really like this coat and the flannel and the hat. This outfit just looks so warm and cozy.

This woman is stunning, and so is this outfit. Elegant.

This is simple but lovely. I've been very into minimalism lately.

I love anything fairy kei/sweet lolita-esque. This is wonderful.

Preppy but edgy.

I LOVE her cross necklace. I want it uber badly. I also love the contrast between the frilly socks and the converse. Also, I always love me some AA shorts.

Short tiered skirt, acid wash, bow, boots. Girly and grunge, I love you so.

This girl just looks too cool. Love the sleeves of the shirt, the hair, and the grid tights. Badass.

Velvet, petticoats, cuteass socks, boots, 80s. Perfect.

I can't resist all black, nor can I resist creepers.

Velvet on velvet, satin ribbons, starry tights, and perplexing shoes. This is absolutely beautiful.

What is my problem?

Sometimes I'm just a bumbling ol' idiot. I let thoughts escape through that rusty-hinged trap door that sometimes just shouldn't open. Especially not when certain people can see these verities, consume them, and properly digest them. Now I've gotten myself dug into a nice little hole, and it's all of my own doing. The shovel was mine; I executed this social suicide thoroughly and neatly. I cannot accost anyone else for my own actions; I must own up to the truth. And the truth is what got me here in the first place. Thus I have come to this realization: maybe truth isn't so honorable. Maybe it shouldn't be revered or cast in a light that makes it seem like exposing my lies, or things unrevealed otherwise, is the right thing to do. Truth is an option, but so is protection, survival. And I am a beast. I must bite through this flesh to stay alive. I must live for the lies.

Nicki Minaj

is sexy as fuck, and thus my new obsession. I think the green hair and awesome wigs won me over.

Case and point.

necessities

So, I haven't been shopping in quite a while. And by quite a while I mean approximately over a month and a half. I'm a tad bit obsessed with finding simpler types of clothes to add to my wardrobe, in somewhat monotonous shades. There are quite a few things that I'd like to buy, and just to (as) permanently (as possible) pin them somewhere, I'll post them here. (excuse me for the awkward syntax in the parentheses. it's all in the name of alliteration.)

CLOTHES

Dolman T
This shirt looks so comfy and easy to wear. I'll probably get it in slate depending on how it looks with my skin in person. If it doesn't look good, I'll just get it in black.

Ruched tube bra
The ruched tube bra. I'd like this in a fun colour to wear as a bikini or to peak out from underneath my clothes, but I think it would be good for me to get this in a colour that would match my skin tone as well. In that case I would be able to wear see-through, strapless stuff without having my nipples make an unwanted guest appearance. I don't quite care about people being able to see my nipples but I think it's courteous to respect others' views. ;) (views just took on a double meaning)

Ribbed Modal Socks
I'm a sucker for socks and, well, I just can't resist these. I'd like them in butter and black. I like the delicate feel of the medium grey as well.

Striped Sleeveless Maxi Dress
I need a striped maxi dress. Thank you forever 21 for making a cheap one.

Cropped Trench
I've been looking for a femininely tapered trench coat and I actually tried this one on in the store. It was far too big (a medium) but the colour looked great and I could tell that an extra small would be a wonderful fit. If I don't end up getting this, I hope I can get a trench coat similar in style, colour, and material to it.

SHOES

Jeffrey Campbell 99 Zip Wedge
I've been eyeing these babies for a while now. At $98 they're not really expensive, but seeing as I don't have work right now and won't have work for the entire year I'm going to have to wait a while until they're mine. Oh, plus I have a broken toe that causes me to limp. No big deal.

1B60 Doc Martens
I've been wanting these for so long. So so long. Hopefully I'll get them for Christmas. THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL.

I'll be going to Boston in a few days, so hopefully I'll at least purchase my wanted items from American Apparel there. As for the rest of my wants, there's wishful thinking.

This is

me.

The girl on the right. Raw, fragile, bare; made of cracked, ever-crumbling pale porcelain.

This blog shall be a mere documentation (a rather fragmented one) of life's events, and less (or more) important material matters.
